Racer is a free car simulator project (for non-commercial use), using high-end car physics to achieve a realistic feeling and an excellent render engine for graphical realism. Cars, tracks and such can be created relatively easy (compared to other, more closed driving simulations). The 3D files, physics and other Racer-specific file formats are documented. Editors and support programs are also available to get a very customizable and expandable simulator. OpenGL is used for rendering.

10-02-2015: The stand-alone Pacejka Player has been updated to fix some lambda bugs. See the Pacejka Player page for more details.
22-08-2014: v0.9.0 RC10 has been released. This fixes DirectInput problems with the steering wheel, and has a TrackEd (64-bits) that fixes a bug in the splitter where geometry with different flagssuspension problems and a 64-bits TrackEd. Get it at the beta download page.
06-08-2014: v0.9.0 RC9 has been released. This has fixed suspension problems and a 64-bits TrackEd. Get it at the beta download page.
17-04-2014: A stand-alone Pacejka Player has been released; see the Pacejka Player page for more details. It's really an initial release that loads TIR files instead of Racer car.ini files.
01-11-2013: v0.9.0 RC8 has been released. This has an improved combined slip model for tire forces, faster rendering and Onyx improvements. Get it at the beta download page.
24-05-2013: v0.9.0 RC7 for the Oculus Rift has been released. This is configured especially for the Oculus Rift, and not really a general release. Get it at the beta download page and more information on how the Rift was configured here.
24-04-2013: v0.9.0 RC6 has been released. Get it at the beta download page. Adds stereoscopic rendering (nVidia Quadro only), bug fixes etc.
